Welcome to Highland High School's Honors Lab Biology program! This course is designed to provide a challenging introduction to the biological sciences by investigating the living world through topics such as ecology, biochemistry, cells, bioenergetics, genetics, evolution, biodiversity, and human biology. Students will be asked to apply and understand the principals of scientific endeavor through challenging hands-on activities in the lab and in the field. This is the "GET TO" class.....YOU "GET TO" participate, be positive, and celebrate knowledge!!!
I'm married to my high school sweet heart, and have two beautiful children - Brianna (23) and Cole (15), but your children are my extended family. The reason that I teach is, for some students I will be the only person who believes in them, and encourages self discovery. I teach because I've been blessed with a heart of compassion and the willingness to help kids reach and find their full potential. I teach because fostering the development of community, thinkers, problem-solvers and doers is a experience that makes me a better person. I teach because I have the privilege of teaching youngsters become catalysts for change. I teach because your child matters.
